Default Add color or look to the engine

OK so I have a 99 camaro ss it's white and black I am rebuilding the motor about to start putting it back together. I wanted some input on changing the look a little.it does have the small air intake lid but everything else is stock. So cheap ideas to make look better pics would be great.I do not want to paint the aluminum so block and heads are staying I was thinking maybe paint the intake green and get green spark plug wires

Thank you

if it was a full blown custom show car I could see wild colors but just for a driven street hot rod I just wouldn't stray too far from the usual but that's just me*

Please excuse my dirty *** engine bay. I'm embarrassed but I just don't have the drive to finish this car this year. So here's to next summer.

Don't do orange. My vote is on blue. Orange is way over used and I don't see too many f-bodies with blue engine bays. Your car your choice though.

Here is mine. Just the usual....black and red. The cars black so the color combo seemed to make sense.

Keep it simple....stay away from the "shock and awe" colors, lol. Few cars...if any...can pull it off. First, I'd eliminate as much of the eye sore crap as possible...wires, stickers, etc. With white, I'd keep color to grays, black, etc....and accents of color in small doses. Unfortunately, red seems to always work. Maybe different finishes...hyrdo dip, polish or chrome. Think about where you want to draw attention....all over or just between the valve covers.

Check out the engine bay thread....might give you ideas.
