Default Wet Sanding. Would you do it again?

Since repainting the whole car is a bit outside the budget, I've considered wet sanding to revive the paint.

If you've done this before, would you recommend it and would you do it again? Whats the estimated amount of time and money spent on something like this?

Since you are going as far as wet sanding I'm guessing you've already clay barred buffed and waxed?

I would be very careful. There isn't much clear on a factory paint job. What's wrong with the paint? I would Zaino a factory paint job before wetsand/buffing it.

I agree with the above. If it's gotten so bad that a high level, multi-compound buffing and waxing process can't get it looking good, then you may not have enough clear coat left to wet sand back to an acceptable finish.

The only way I will wetsand is on a paint job where multiple coats of clearcoat was sprayed with the intention of wetsanding. I have done it in limited areas on oem paint, but wouldnt touch it without a paint depth gauge. I dont see how its needed though. Ive take paint finishes that look so bad theres hardly a refection anymore and brough back to perfection with compounds and polish.

This Escalade was a nightmare for me. 100% of every panel looked like this or worse and it came out flawless. This is a side by side after just compounding(no polish yet) with mezerna fg400 and a microfiber pad with a Rupes lr21.
