adaptor plate for projectors for TA's. Ok. Ok. I am curious to see how good these projector conversions are. I ordered a set of the adaptor plates from Ebay. I intend to use HID bulbs in the projectors, however, can anyone recommend which HID " kit ", to use, as in wattage, lumens, etc. ?
The Ebay seller recommended using the 60mm Hella projectors, which is also noted on this forum in a prior post.
Also, could the projectors use an LED bulb ?
I already have the LMC housings , using fanless LED bulbs. They are acceptable to me at this present time, however, the projector set up looks wicked.

One of the better/best ones out there will be the morimoto brand parts from TRS. Me personally I picked up a $40 kit locally and haven't had any issues. I'm running the hella projectors and hella micro de fogs. Both have HID kits in them.

HIDs run cooler than halogen but they still get hot enough to burn you. I have a 55w kit in Hella 60mm projectors, the light output is nice but there is a little glare. Honestly I think the 60mm Hellas are **** and wouldn't do it again. Look into Blackbird Lighting Morimoto D2S setup.

OK, thanks for the honest opinion. Due to another post regarding LED Harley 4.5" fog lights, and my present headlight setup of LMC's with LED's, I will probably skip the HID / projector conversion. The combo setup of the LED fog lights and LED headlights, I think is more than satisfactory compared to OEM lighting, and still has a favorable OEM look to the car.

Its not just the heat but also the UV output, especially in aftermarket HID Kits. Many lack proper UV blocking coatings and 55 watt emits more UV anyway. That combined with the increased heat damages projector bowls.
