Pewter metallic.
I've always struggled with trying to determine if it's more gold or more silver. In some lights I think it looks awesome, almost like a tungsten.
Then, in other lights the gold seems to come out, which I dislike, a lot.
Wanted to get some other opinions.

Pewter is similar to a champagne color to me, more 'gold' than 'silver'. The pewter looks better in contrast to darker colors (black roof, flat black berger panel, black wheels, etc.), however by itself I think it is kind of a blah or meh color to put into words lol. I don't mean to dis your car, just my opinion. My first fbody was a '97 SS that had a Sebring Silver color, which I loved.

I've always disliked pewter, even though I ended up buying two different F-bodies in this color. LOL.
I agree about the gold being more visible in certain lights, and this is the aspect of it that I hate as well. Direct sunlight seems to bring this out, perhaps aided by the metallic content. I always found it to look best during pre-dawn and dusk hours, or on somewhat cloudy days or under artificial lighting.
I would say that it's closer to the color of damp sand than it is to silver. For direct comparison sake, here is a picture of my pewter '02 and silver '98 together in the same light:
Silver has always been my favorite color for these cars, but the tan/beige/gold content of pewter was only good for one thing: hiding dirt. It pretty much always looked clean even when it was dirty. Best aspect of the color IMO.
