Default Clean Cast Aluminum?

Greetings!

What is the best cleaning supplies to use on cast aluminum. Im having a lot of corrosion and oxidation ruining the looks of my car under the hood.

I'm not going to take a bunch of parts off and basically dismantle my engine to clean it, so sandblasting and glass beading blasting is out the question.

I heard Eagle one MAG wheel cleaner and EZ Off oven cleaner.

Thanks!

Of the two options you posted, MAG wheel cleaner would be best. Easy Off will strip paint and stickers if you are not careful.

Biggest problem with the cast is not cleaning, it's staying clean.
Sanded & buffed various parts such as alternator, drive brackets, block. Just keeps reoxidizing.

I'd try the mag cleaner & stiff scrub brush or AC condenser cleaner . It's a mild acid also. Can get at home stores in ac filter section.
