Default Cleaning leather steering wheel and stitching?

Factory wheel and red stitching in my GTO could use a little help. Anyone have any recommendations on the best way to restore them? The wheel may not come back but id like to give it a shot at least.

Thats worn not dirty. Anyways best leather cleaner I have found is old school non citrus white hand cleaner with lanolin and NO PUMICE. Works really well at cleaning the leather and moisturizing it with no slippy feel. Use a very soft tooth brush to work it into the stitching and seams and wipe it off well with a terry cloth.

There are a bunch of videos on YouTube that show how to restore worn and cracked leather using denatured alcohol and spray paint with a rag. Seemed to work very well, check them out.

^ Good for selling, not for keeping. I wouldnt suggest ANY solvents at all on leather if you want it to last. Leather is skin, think about cleaning your hands with alcohol and how dry they would get ( paint? um no ) Use some lanolin cleaner and wipe dry without water, clean, and soft. Water dries, spirits/solvents dry even more

Looks like it already hasn't lasted lol. Maybe there is some kind of a "moisturizer/sealer" that could possibly be applied over the YouTube method? I am inexperienced in the detailing area, just passing along some info I stored in my memory bank.

I actually didn't realize how rough it was until I posted.the pics......welp I've been eyeing one on eBay for a while just wasn't wanting to drop the coin.

What about the stitching? What's the best way to clean that up? This is the first time I've got a pre-owned car......the wheel out of my 01 firebird looks like a factory unit
