Default Balast for HID headlights....which are decent to use.....?

I'm using 35W....6000K Philips HID bulbs. Low beam lights only.

One balast just died and shops around here are charging $65.00 for a new balast. Amazon has a bunch for $9.99 and upwards.....

Which one is pretty good...but not top of the line?

I only have them in my fogs but they are Xentec.

I don't know how long yours lasted but a tip if you don't already know it is to make sure the ballast is secure (not just hanging there bouncing around).
I have had my cheap Xentec's siliconed back underneath my hood latch and they have lasted about 5 years now.

I got 3 1/2 years out of them. They are secured very well to the frame right below the headlight.

Those Xentec balasts.....are they all the same....? I see a few on Amazon...

Do it right , spend a bit more and will be happier with results.
morimoto brand through company Called retrofit source.
Have them on two of my cars. Bulbs have 1 year warranty , ballasts 5 years. I recently had them replace a ballast after one year and was done within 15 minutes and had it in 2 days.

I don't see anything except one wire power connections...

Also......what about going to LED.

Is it brighter, better than HID in any way?

What kits are good to buy that will wire right up to our OEM 2-wire power source.

+1 on going LED now. I have had DDM HID's in my car, wife's Jeep and kids cars for maybe 10 years now with zero issues. However Recently I did LED on my motorcycle and my Canyon. They work great and are easier to install IMO

Can you point me to some good LED kits that wire right up to our OEM 2-wire power wires....?

Do they have kits for our bright lights too.....?
