Default SS Wing Help

I am new to LS1Tech. I’ve been using the site, just not as a member. I’m wondering where the best place to get an SS wing (98-02) is. I’ve seen the post about the “thespoilercompany” on eBay. I couldn’t find them and didn’t want to buy the wrong thing. I’ve seen other ones as well but don’t know what is true. Any links would help.

They occasionally pop up here for sale in the classifieds.

If you in a hurry you can call Hawks Motorsports

I saw Hawks sold one but again I wasn’t sure. I’ll look into that. Thanks.

Also saw that one and was double the price of others. The picture looked alright tho. And the ones on Hawks look like they don’t have the same amount of curve, but we’re a decent price. Anybody know about Pure?

I have had both. Oem SS and no name brand aftermarket one.

Oem SS has more of curve and is “higher”.

Good to know. I’ve seen something that said “the spoiler company” on eBay but I don’t know if I trust it. Ppl say they’re closed or gone. I don’t know. Thanks for the help.

I recently bought one from DAR Spoilers. They're in Texas. Great price. Sometimes you will see a coupon code too on their site. I had them paint the spoiler as well. Paint came out excellent, matched my original paint perfectly. Fitment was awesome too.

After reading this and looking at it, I think I’m gonna go with this one. I guess everyone uses the same pictures to show the wing and not their own. But you vouched for them so I’ll give them a chance. Thanks for the help.

Yeah the same duplicate photo was a little odd, but mine surprisingly came out great. Only issue I had was that the supplied fasteners were too short so I had to make an extra trip to the hardware store. I emailed them about it so maybe they'll send the correct length bolts in the future.

After seeing this picture I’m definitely going with that one. Thanks everybody for the help.

Some aftermarket SS spoilers fit like so be careful. I recommend you try scoring a deal on a GM factory SS spoiler.

Now that I’ve ordered mine it makes me think of another question: How long did yours take to be built, shipped, and received?

I think it was almost 3 weeks before I got mine. The painting takes a little longer, if you decided with that option.

So my wing is here and it looks great. Only problem now is, how do I get to the 4 bolts holding in the stock Z28 spoiler? I have a convertible so IDK if that makes a difference or not. There’s a piece on the inside of the trunk I’m sure I need to get through but not sure how.

Nevermind... I see the bolts.

The hardware is still too short so I’ll also be making a trip to the store. Also the fitment on mine isn’t the best. Might be because of my trunk but otherwise is ok.
