LED taillights/flashers issues
I've swapped to all led tail lights and have LED turn signals and high beams up front.
I also replaced my turn/hazard flashers to 12v electronic flashers.
Now I have no turn signals...The signal indicator on the dash is solid. I can tap the flasher and get them to blink once...
And when I try the hazards I get a solid hazard indicator (both turn signal indicators) and a very slow repeated buzzing noise coming from the flasher...
I put stock turn signal thermal flasher back in with an electronic hazard flasher and the hazards work.
Did I get the wrong flashers?
I'm a bit confused on this one.....
Thanks in advance!
You need no-load flashers.
As for bubs, I find that bulbs marked as "canbus" compatible are also less likely to run into this. Our car's don't have canbus, but bulbs marked as such have an extra resistor across the terminals to increase load to help prevent triggering a canbus equipped car from thinking the bulb is out. For our cars, that extra load coupled with a no-load flasher usually works out fine. This is not the same as the dummy load resistors that some people recommend (skip those). Some people do fine with the cheapest bulbs and no-load flashers. Others have random issues.
I'd start with the flashers. Usually that's the issue.
Went to Advanced and picked up two new "name brand" flashers and still no dice...
Frustration beverage incoming...
