Default Current Camaro headlight options?

Not looking for anything crazy, maybe something subtle and lightly tinted. My stock headlights need to be replaced or just polished and thought about maybe something different. Might lightly tint the clear corners, fog lights, and export taillights. Attaching a picture and hopefully it isn’t too big. Been out of the game for many years and appreciate any recommendations on current stuff that’s available

I just went with the Depo Whistlers. I like how they turned out.

WICKED SS: A quick and easy lighting upgrade would be LED bulbs. Just make sure to get the kind with the LEDs positioned/aligned in a thin strip in the same shape and position as the original bulb's filament. There are threads on here on that. There are various brands and various prices on these with varying results. If you go this route, compare the resulting beam pattern with the original Halogen beam pattern to make sure it is not negatively affected. You want the same beam pattern, but brighter.

The next step up would be installing projectors. You can get Morimoto Mini-H1 HID projectors to install inside your housings (or spare housings). There are threads on that as well. Basically, they are "shaft mounted". Short Overview of mounting: open the headlights, remove the bulb shield, install the projector with it's shaft through the original bulb hole, tighten the lock nut (test to make sure projector beam aligned), seal the headlight. This is just a quick overview. You may have other steps and mods needed. Check other threads and videos.

So far, all the pre-built projector headlights for 1998-2002 Camaro you see on ebay and car parts sites are the same old typical crap projectors, not good ones. However, there are some lighting places that will build you a headlight with the Morimoto Projectors or other projectors in there.

BLS / Blackbird Lighting Solutions / BL Solutions used to make modified Camaro headlights with Morimoto Projectors. You can check to see if they still do that and current pricing.

A better projector would be Morimoto Mini-D2S 5.0 projectors. They mount in a similar way to to the Mini-H1 but are a better projector and use OEM D2S bulbs instead of H1-HID Retrofit bulbs. However it is a larger projector and I'm not sure if it will fit in the Camaro headlight. You have to see if others have tried it.

Morimoto also has LED Projectors. They are similar in size to the Mini-D2S Projectors and mount in a similar way. They have good output but I haven't seen anyone try them in a Camaro headlight yet so I don't know about fitment.

You can find Morimoto Projectors and their ACME budget version at The Retrofit Source (they are the ones that make it and other places that sell them are re-sellers that offer other products and services as well).

cancam99ss: What housings and projectors are those? Looks like you blacked-out oem-style headlights and installed Morimoto (or ACME) Mini-H1 Projectors. Did you get them from BLS or make them?

They didnt fit too bad. I did pull the metal brackets the lights mount to out of the car and elongated holes so I could move the housings down and spaced outward closer to the bumper. Did this a few times until things were sitting kosher. I aimed them and I want to adjust the brackets a bit more to call them 100%. But, I cant really space them outward too much more or the headlights will be touching the fender and bumper and not in the spot where it counts across the bottom front.

ETA: I got these off Amazon a few months ago.
