How do I remove the letters and bird on my taillight center section on my T/A?

I read that a little wetsanding.. then a little rubbing compound... and some polishing once you're done.

Well I got down to it and im affraid to sand that plactic. Will it scratch the hell out of it?

You have to use a really fine grit sandpaper. It's going to scratch initially, but the rubbing compound and polishing should smooth it back out. Use a really fine sandpaper for the wetsanding.

I Just used rubbing compound with a buffing wheel attached to my cordless drill after wetsanding it with 1500 grit paper. Took a few batteries (14v) to smooth it back out, but it worked well.
