Ultra seats?
Hey all,
Trying to see if anyone can identify or shed light on these two front seats in my 99 z28 that’s says “ULTRA” on the head rest area. Thanks.

They appear to be factory Ebony leather seats, which is not correct for a 1999 but would be correct for a 2000-02 Camaro. Looks like you also have an Ebony center console though, so perhaps these interior components were sourced from the same parts car. The "ultra" looks like some sort of residual markings from aftermarket decals/emblems that were once attached to otherwise factory seats. Beyond that, there is nothing special about the seats.

My only knowledge of the Ultra Z was in 2000 SLP built it, but it had race seats from what I recall. They also made one in 97 but there isn't much reading left on that car. Maybe it had factory seats? There were a few cars that were made called Ultra Z28 and some parts apparently. I was building Foxbodies when the LT1 and LS1 cars were new, so I remember some stuff from buddies that had them and things I read on them back in the day.

You are correct about the ebony color and my SPID indicates a 14B so the seats should have been a dark gray cloth. One of the previous owner’s changed out the dark gray seats for ebony front and rear, along with console. As for the Ultra Z build, that’s an awesome read. I have never seen an fbody with the ultra in the head rest before and assumed they were after market. As WS6 said “they look to be factory seats”. The lettering looks squared off and centered. It doest’t “wipe” off and I couldn’t imagine them being a raised lettering at one time. (How uncomfortable..haha)
Appreciate the insight from you all. Also, you two always get up at 4/5am on a Sunday?!

I hadn't even gone to bed yet! Haha. I was at a cruise night with a bunch of friends, we didn't leave the lot until 2am, I could've stayed later but the wife was getting tired. I've always been a night owl.
