Post Ideas +- Opinions

Well I keep thinking about changing things around with my car, but not sure if I should as I do like how it currently looks and don't exactly want to put anymore money into the car. I've been thinking about things from replacing the berger pannel back to the stock piece with black CAMARO letter to putting the black hash stripes back on. Let me know what your thoughts are about the car...

Here are 2 picture's of the car; there are 10 more at my website (www.MadIceV8.com)

as said already...

1. no tips would look good i believe. gives the back a muhc cleaner appearance

2. the berger panel looks good. im not familiar wiht the stripes your talking about but some kind of stripes like the 35th SS stripes would looks good on your car. would tie that one black panel on the car in better i think

Leave the GS stripes off, it's much cleaner without it. It could look really cool if you go back to the stock color filler panel, but with shave the "CAMARO" lettering, then center an old Z/28 badge in the middle.

I like the tips. It looks like a muscle car to me.... Overall, It's a really nice looking car. Usually, Pewter is my least favorite color, but between all the clear lights, chrome and lack of "flashy" colors (only black) it looks very clean and sleek.

Ok, as for no-cost to little cost mods: No exhaust tips or different tips, maybe a power antenna for a cleaner look, take off the side moldings (that'd help a lot) and get a chrome license plate frame. I got this one from my local Chevy dealer's GM Parts dept.

Other than that, I don't know. I tend to like metallic color cars without stripes (or without big ones anyway). The clean look. Maybe for a big mod down the road a SS hood or a Sunoco-style cowl hood like "Fabricator" is making.

If I wasn't so broke all the time lately I'd have a different hood.

power antenna
gs hash stripes or something on front end, maybe 35th stripes?
maybe a ss hood or slp hood?
export tail lights?
halo lights?

i really like the burger panel, it looks really sharp on your car. for example my friend came over and wanted to see some late and early model camaros. i showed him ur camaro and steve's 69 camaro.

I like your car as is, very clean, neat, sleek....

that being said, here are my suggestions
  • keep the tail panel it looks great (or sell it to me...)
  • bring back the stripes, they are cool
  • I hate to say it but I would get a black billet grille insert or even a black insert with CAMARO inserts so the front matches the back.
sounds like you are trying to reduce the amount of black, I say add more!!! All silver is kind of plain to me.

keep in mind these are only what I would do and not a knock on your car at all!

onyxxtreme - That was an idea I was strongly thinking about. Only seen it done once and it looked really good.

Onyx Z & 00NBMCamaro - Its the magnaflow exhaust which I think sounds really good with the LT Headers. The tips go all the way to the muffler so not able to change the tips. I really like the way 3 inch tips look ot back... they look like they stick out far in the picture but they really don't (Kind of an illusion). Thanks for the opinion.

mooleyz28 - I'll PM ya later on.

PFDarkside - Still thinking about doing the same color filled pannel as you say... not a fan of the centered badge though.

stoleit - Hood I wouldn't mind doing, but its kinda pricey. Export tail lights I almost did... but figured the stock lights are more then fine for that kind of money and not a fan of the halo lights (looks out of place). Still thinking about those hash stripes though. Thanks.

mako22 - I actually agree on all 3 points for the most part. The stripes and the pannel were put there to give the car a more 'race' feel while keeping the class. Never looked at the grille idea like that. Reason for keeping it chrome was to have something chrome up front, in the back, and on the side of the car.

LawmanSS, ulySSes & 01 Red WS6 - Thanks.

Still on-off about the hash stripes. I think I will remove the rear chevy bowtie and Z28 emblem since I now have the chrome fill-ins. And I should pick up a chrome licence plate frame soon.

IMHO, I think you should forget the GS stripes. Maybe try to get a CME set up, GMMG oval or B&B tips. Leave the Z28 and bowtie, thats just shows heritage.

EDIT--Leave the rear panel black, thats looks killer on Pewter.

I think you should sell me your wheels

Actually I think your car is perfect except I'd put Corsa or B&B tips on it.

ulySSes - I have always liked the CME look. Crossed my mind but I wonder how much extra it would cost...

proauto - I'm always open to offers (Even the whole car if the price was right). You can PM me and I'll let ya know.

MadIce, I dont think they look bad, but might look better to see some different tail pipes on there as mentioned, other than that, i've always liked the car the way it is The berger panel definalty helps make the car. Not sure if I care for the GS stripes though, dont dislike them though
