Talking Appearance? New SS Hauler . . . :)

Well I know it's been a while since I bought the Duramax, but a few of you were asking what he looked like, well my lazy *** finally uploaded some pics:

A 2004 Silverado 2500 HD Extended Cab, Short Bed, with Duramax and Allison Trans.

Mods to date are, K&N FIPK, Corsa Exhaust Tip, De-Badged, Removed Side Mouldings, Ventshade Bug Guard, GM Vent Visors, GM Step Bars, Fold-A-Cover Tonneau, and much more.

More pics here: http://www.netsnapshot.com/pcw/build...0&ACCOUNT=4394

Thanks and enjoy!

Right now I have a 24' enclosed trailer on loan, so I can only haul one car, the truck pulls that thing like its a feather, even though it tips the scales at nearly #8,000 loaded . . . thats just the trailer and Camaro! I'd like to try a 35' footer, and see if two car pulling is in my blood.

Thanks! Yes it is, a dually would be the ultimate beast, but I drive this everyday.

That would be totally cool to have a truck and trailer decked out as a set, and someday, I will, but I bought the Silver Birch, since it is vitually impervious to dirt . . . since this is a daily driver, I wanted a color "dirt" friendly.

Thanks all!

Allison/Duramax is to trucks what LS1/T56 is to cars. Kings in their respective lands.

Great looking truck. Time for some new wheels/tires.

How may miles do you have on it? What type of gas mileage are you getting?

I am looking at almost the same truck... but a GMC, crew cab, and 4x4.

I've rode in a edge juice/attitude equipped 03 duramax and all i can say is. That truck was awesome. It spun all the way through 5th . The programmer alone cut 2 full seconds off his e.t.

Have you had any problems with the fuel injectors yet??? They been on back order for a while now & I'm still waiting on them here in my parts dept... I'm in no way trying to bring you down at all... Just giving you fair warning that they are a frequent problem in the Duramax's... Other than that, they could haul a house & yours looks sharp as well.

Yes I do need new wheels and tires, I'll run it through teh winter like this and at Spring time look for something more agressive.

I have nearly 12,000 miles on it already, and I bought it the beginning of February.

Mileage, I think is great,

I average around 17 MPG tooling around, mostly city
On a long trip w/o trailer I got 22 MPG
On a long trip w 24' enclosed trailer with car I got 13.8 MPG
The computer on the truck is telling me form the very first day I bought it the truck is averaging 15.8 MPG

The tonneau is a must for helping in the fuel economy.

Thanks all! Oh and Steve . . . on spinners . . . .

Mike, no issues on the injectors . . . better not, the truck isn't even year old, but aren't they covered under the 100,000 mile warrantee?
