Best technique and products to get a mirror shine on a newly painted surface? Well, I just painted the rear bumper cover on my winter beater and it turned out great.
These were the steps I followed:
I cleaned the cover with comet and warm water
sanded it with 320 sand paper and wiped it with alcohol
filled a few scratches
clean
applied flex spray
etch primed it
sand
clean
applied 4 coats of base w/flex
2 coats of clear
looks real good. no runs. good shine
How do I get that mirror shine?
