Head and Taillight blackouts

Head and Taillight blackouts I've heard that head light and tail light blackout render your lights useless but I think they look pretty cool. I wondered could I buy window tint maybe 50% and basically tint my lights. Is this possible or am I stupid for even thinking this. Thanks for any advice.

You can get AVS taillight covers from AutoZone and PepBoys for $40. If its not on the shelf, ask them to order it. It takes about 3 days to get in. I would not want to use spray-on tint on my headlights because you cant take it off at night when you need the headlights.
