Question about SLP Floormats

Question about SLP Floormats I ordered some from SLP and got them today but as I looked at the passenger mat I noticed where the middle part has that grooved, stitched area that mine was open at the top of it. I have about a 1/2 inch showing between the outer part of the mat and that middle area. Is it supposed to be like that or flush and stitched up all around? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid queston and if I didnt explain it correctly. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, that should be there. In fact, the slit should continiue all the way down so that it's a "free" split. It's just like the "hawk" floormats. It's kinda like the pockets on a new suit. They come stitched up fot the store and when you get it home, you slit them open to use.
