Going back to stock hood and spoiler
I currently have an SLP oem SS hood and spoiler - I feel kinda weird having these on the car since its actually a Z28. Ever since they've been on the car I've felt that the car should return to a stock exterior (I still have stock hood and spoiler). My wife and kids tell me, no way but I feel stronger about it each day. I plan on keeping the car and only driving it on nice days.
Am I crazy for thinking this way ?

definetely get rid of the spoiler and sell it to me; specially if its RED. hahaha . I plan on getting an SS spoiler soon. I wonder how the SS hood and spoiler would look with the RS ground effects.

I think you should leave it on. If you arent badging it as a ss then there isnt a problem. Of course i am a little bias

Car still has the Z28 emblems on it, just figured that I should have just bought an SS if I wanted one but they didn't make them in monterey maroon metallic.

Anyone with any bit of knowledge about f-bodies will see you bought a hood and spoiler for appearance and not to make your z28 a replica ss... There's not much difference between the two at all anyways so why sweat it and if you like it who gives a eff what anyone else thinks anyways? My vote is to keep it!

Throw these badges on it and call it your own. Do what you want and what makes you feel proud. As long as there aren't any SS badges on it, you should be good.

Yeah, as long as you don't put the badges on, you'll be fine!
I went through the whole appearance thing too. I got too worried about parking the car places, the track performance sucked (heavy *** wheels), but if you aren't worried about stuff like that and you don't need the money then leave it if you like it. I miss having a Cowl hood on my car, but i think it would look funny having a hood like that with stock wheels so I swapped it for a stock hood. But for the money you spend buying the hood new, getting it fitted and painted, you will not get that money back when you sell it.
