Default New tire pics

Bought a set of radials for daily driving the car.

255/60/15 BFG Radial TA's

They are 27 inches tall and fill out the wheelwell nice with the convos.

Pics aren't the greatest view of the tires but you'll get the idea

Just a reminder, be careful with new tires LOL! I went to merge on the highway and IGNITED the tires for about 60 feet in third at 70mph.

I think I should have done a little burnout with them first to "cure" them

I "cleaned" my Michellin Pilot sports when I first bought them pulling out of my driveway. It was like I was driving on ice at first, but now with 400-500 miles on I would say they are the best street tires I have ever had.

15x7.5

No grinding or spacers required for either the fronts or the backs.

Ok, that is what I was wondering, same as what I have. That is what I need to do somehow. I want to go to a taller tire, but I can't go to a 27 or 28" tire on the track and then put my regular radials (245/50-16's) on for the street and expect the car to drive perfect.

thanks

These 27 inch radials drive awesome. (same as the borrowed 245s I had before)

Do you run skinnies full time? I can do 85-90mph on the highway without any issues at all with these tires and skinnies. I drive 150 miles to the track each way.

do you mean from the tires or ride height? I use 28 inch slicks at the track so I can't lower it. I am already close to the fenders on launch (see pic)

thanks

The rear is stock width with 15x7.5 convo pros. The slicks are only 9 inches wide which helps. 28x9 inch
