Default Engine bay is coming along...

I installed a set of QTP headers yesterday, so I went ahead and removed the EGR and AIR crap too. The engine bay is DEFINATELY coming along. I've done the wire mod, gotten rid of the sticker on the driver-side strut tower, polished my MAF, along with just about anything that's polishable. I still want to get a new battery (the one I have right now is fugly) Also, I'm thinking custom FRC's will look really nice. I'm thinking black with silver "Trans Am" on it will do the trick.

So yeah, things are coming along. I'm not down to the nitty gritty detail yet, but I'm definatley getting there. It's just tough having the car as a DD.

I'll try to get some pics up sometime soon. I washed the car yesterday, but didn't get to spray Simple Green in the engine bay (all the crevices where the emissions crap was is all stingy now )

HD,

It was fairly simple. I did it all on my own when I was back home on leave. The only thing I messed up on was going in at a bad angle and tore up the drill bit Oh well, it had a lifetime warrenty.

I'll definately get some pictures of it for ya

And don't worry about cutting the hole. It's fairly small, and it's so far to the back no one would notice unless they were looking for it.

Let me know when you want the custom FRCs. I'm only a few miles up the road from you.

PIWP! I just coined that acronym, so if you want to use it, you must pay. Seriously though- prove it with pics.

Yeah, my battery is fugly and definately needs to go.

I'm just trying to figure out some more little things to do, since "less is more."

I'd like to maybe get some aluminum covers for maybe the fuse boxes and PCM cover. Maybe I'll get my STB chromed.

The engine bay is definately going to look different though, once the F.A.S.T. intake goes in.

If I ended up polishing my valve covers, could I put some kind of clear coat over them so I wouldn't have to do it again?

Maybe a nice pair of FRC's will just hide them?
