PC Polishing Results
PC Polishing Results i'm not quite finished, but the pictures i have of my hood (the hood looked/swirled worse than any other body panel on the car, by far) are astonishing enough to give you guys the idea of how good it currently looks

the first and last picture in the "after" section (and maybe the middle one also) show some water spots left behind by the rain. those spots come out, i just didn't get the chance to wash my car before i took those pics. so yeah, my car isn't even clean in the "after" pictures, just polished (hence, no swirls)
also, don't let the different areas of the hood (where the pictures were taken) fool you any. my entire hood swirled as bad (and i think it looked much worse in person) as the pictures in the "before" section show. also, the "before" pictures still show swirling even outside of the direct light, so you KNOW it looked pretty pitiful
the "after" results look good on any portion of the hood that you look at, but as you can tell, there was kind of a house in my way to get the exact angle as was in the "before" pictures.
and i'll get more pictures to show the rest that i have done if i ever get home before dark again

if you have any swirls at all, it's the easiest way to rid your paint of them, hands down. trying alternate, non-machine techniques is just a waste of time, IMO.

The average price is $100 for the unit itself. With backing plate and some good pads, you'll be looking at roughly $50. Don't forget good towels, mitts, etc. to maintain that swirl-free finish.
