How Do I Put On Vinyl Dammit! i got the ram air scoop inlay for the hood. they said they would send me directions and they did'nt so how would i go about applying the vinyl. its a pretty big piece maybe i should'nt take the risk on fu***ng it up?

is it the manta stripe or just the 35th anniversary scoop inlay? if its the inlay, its real easy to do yourself. just get a spray bottle with semi-soapy water and a squeegie. clean your hood up real good, i clayed mine and removed all wax before install. then wet it down good with the spray. then i sprayed the decal as i removed it from the paper, always keeping everything nice and moist. never drenched, but always wet. then just lay it down and position it. work the bubbles out from the center to the edge, the soapy water will also come out when you do this. once you get it good and flat, just leave it alone, the rest of the water and soap will dry from under the decal and all the micorscopic bubbles will go away after a few days. let it sit out in the sun a few days after if you can. anyway hope this helps, it isnt hard, just takes a little patience. also, if you have the manta, take it somewhere and have it done, it is very dififcult. post some pics
yep soapy water is the trick. I spary the hood and the stripe. Take your time and you should do fine. If you find you need to move it do it while it is still wet and if it starts to get hard to move you can respray but be careful.
