Welcome..

The key is CLEAN.. not just clean in the obvious places but CLEAN EVERYWHERE..

After that is NO CLUTTER.. hide wires.. replace bolts.. align parts.. remove stickers (engine bay)..

Pick a THEME.. a color scheme.. a design.. whatever.. pick and stay to it.. if your accent color is silver dont go putting blue parts on your car..

Details.. Details.. Details.. Anyone can make someone look at thier car but its harder to make them stare.. they should like your car but not know why since all the details work so well together..

Oh, and have fun.. be creative and take a chance or two..

If you feel your car is rare I would have a nice sign made up explaining the differences of your stock vehicle and show it with your car. Good luck at the shows....

Think about how you want to dress up your engine bay. Fuel rail covers really clean up the engine compartment. Polish small parts that are easily removeable from your engine; maf, tb, tensioner ect.... Also polish your AC evaporator, and the metal lines. Consider polishing your abs junction and lines. Billet parts make a car stand out as well. MBA sells shift *****, and cylinder head plates as well as other small parts to make your car unique. Here is a pic of my engine bay:

Hope this gives you some idea.

Kind of pushy for only having four posts if you ask me.

You just step in the door of ls1tech and expect everyone from every corner of the site to jump into your n00b thread and dump their knowledge/advice/input with an attitude like that? What the **** are you thinking? I respect everone on here because almost everyone is civil, helpful and patient. If nobody comments on your thread, maybe it's because you're digging up old topics that have already been discussed before! ....and that could have been easily found with the SEARCH button (see Zane0's post) and a little patients/work. (sigh....where is jrp when you need him...) All of the people that commented on your thread were extremely nice. I, on the other hand, could not extend the same courtesy. As soon as I saw your smart ***/brat/cocky/imptient post, my temper flared a little bit. www.ls1tech.com is not some little online message box you can just graffiti up. You don't take ls1tech.com seriously. We have a community here, just like a little, peaceful, bad-*** neighborhood and you just can't come from some other neighborhood ("I am a member of other F-body forums") knocking on all our doors and then bitching us out if we don't drop on our knees, drop all of our problems and help YOU out. Dude, you have a bad-*** car and are probably a pretty cool guy. I don't mean to start any ****, either, I just don't appreciate you trompin' up in here and acting like this. Please be more respectful/patient to the members here. By doing this you will get alot farther with your questions/answers and will have no posts like the one you are reading. Thanks.

In regards to your question, there is only one thing you can do to make a truly great show car....Get out you wallet. Most of the truly noticeable show cars that get lots of attention are custom, clean and have lots of mods. All of which equate to alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$.

i would say the biggest thing is like said above, get it very clean, do all the free mods you can. as far as changing the appearance, personally i would get a ram air hood, some nice wheels, and then a cool stripe kit, like the black bird kit. nothing flashy, but something that will set you apart. if you like the kit after a few months, go have it painted on. also, look into cleaning up the interior with some cutom headrests, billet/carbon fiber accents.
