painting brake calipers
i jost bought some 18s for my trans am now i think that the brake caliper need to be painted what the best way to do that and what products should i use also my TA is silver w/chrome accents what color should i paint them

I thought about many differnt things to do to my calipers, and at the end of the day they were red. I think they look really good, especially over the what they were stock. If I had the time and the experience, I would take each caliper off (totally off meaning bleeding the lines) and slowly polish them down so they look like chrome, then apply a high heat clear coat. I think that would look awesome

I just did the calipers on my white 98 T/A. Used high heat paint all around. Start with primer. Did the caliper brackets in black. I used cast coat aluminum on the calipers with black trans am decals. Cast coat is similar to the natural color but has some sparkle to it. all were clearcoated to finish. Used Duplicolor paint. Looks really good next to the zinc plated rotors on a white car. I think it would look good on a silver one too.
