I have a 83 k5 that IM stufing some 03 trailblazer fullpower/heated seats in.
Does any body know (or have access to) what wires go to the seat heater and what kind of signal I need to give it ie: 12v constant/ pules/ ground /ect? I do have the module under the seat, I have 7 wires coming from one plug.

Serial data,...........
( I didnt think gm was using this technology yet)
do you have a pin out of the drivers lock module?
Any idea what I have to hook up to get some heat?
It looks like I just need power the door lock module and a signal out?
ANy idea?
what kind of signal is gm using ?
thanks

there are other ways out. There should be a connector under the seat, a 2 prong connector. There should be a red/wht wire and a lt Green wire. the Red wire is a supply voltage, and the lt green is the element control. It looks as if the mudule supplies a ground for it. What you could do is just wire it up to a switch run a wire to it hot at all times, and then run a switch to toggle the ground side. This is for the bottom seat heater.
Now for the back heater element.
There should be a 4 prong connetor with a red/white wire, which is the supply voltage again, the LT Grn wire which is the control again, but this time it will also have a yellow/black which is the heated Seat Thermistor Signal (no idea). The last one is just a plane yellow wire, and it is the low reference wire. Your going to have to play around with it to get it to work, but i'll keep looking on Service Information to see what i can figure out.

There are 2 modules that control these seat, the drivers door module, and the memory seat module. The memory seat module has 4 connectors on it, c1 has 3 prongs, c2 has 8 prongs, c3 has 24 prongs, and c4 has 24prongs.
Now the Drivers Door Module has 5 connectors. C1 being a 4prong, c2 being a 24 prong, c3 being 16 prong, c4 being 6 prong, and c5 being a 9 prong.

ahh here are the pin outs...
I hope this helps some.
What I would do though, which is much easier, is just run a wire, from the connectors under the seat. Run a ground to the lt grn wires, and run a 12v power wire to the red/white wires. I personally would run the switch on the power side, take power from a fuse box or something near buy and run a switch into you dash, maybe the cigeratte lighter power? Then run a ground from the the lt green wire, to like the seat track, because that may be a good enough ground.
