Big gash, want to learn to paint.
New to this forum, just given it a try since it seems nice.
I slipped off the road in a big rainstorm in my 97 camaro . The car is black and has a scratch from something on the rear quarter panel, rear bumper, and rear thing that says camaro on it.
I also was planning on gettin my front bumper repainted because like pretty much every black camaro of that age, it is fading a little bit and has stone chips like crazy.
I've read a little about painting cars and have a lot of experience with pretty much every other kind of painting. I don't like the policies of any paint shops in my area because they take a long time and prices are pretty high.
I was wondering if its possible for me to do this type of repair if i take time to prepare it early and get good supplies. I would probably get a good paint gun (looking at finish line), and try to do a good job.
Can you guys lead me to any other good sites on this topic, give me any recommendations, and tell me about how much automotive paint+primer costs because i haven't found it anywhere yet.
