Default Silver Z28 - What Grille?

Heres the front of my car...

Getting halo lights & a new grille, but need help to what would look best to the masses. Down to the Stull billet grille or the SLP Bowtie grille. What would look best & what color?

Thanks fro the help.

(Note: car has gloss black top & I'm not worried about no front plate... even though in TX)

oo.. thats a tough one. Both would look good.

what color halos are u getting? Black or the chrome?

If black halos- the powercoated black Stull billet grille would look very VERY sharp on it.

If you go billet if i had to do it again i would get a black one but i have alot of black with my stipes also with the billet grille i painted the inner section behind the grille black to make the polished stand out more with the black behind it.Either way i'm sure that it will look nice

I'd say one of the following:
  1. Remove the stocker, have the mounting holes filled by a body shop, then have the entire section painted to match your existing stripes.
  2. An SLP grille like you mentioned, but paint it to match your existing stripes.
  3. A Wings West grille, also painted to match your stripes: http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/camfrongrili.html

The Wings West grille looks ballsy on a silver car. I also like the SLP Bowtie on the silver cars. Silver is sharp... WJ

another vote for the wings west grille, but not crazy about the stripes idea. i think it's a bit much when the stripes go through the grill, just my opinion. I say on that silver car to get the ww grill but painted black, with black halos..... let us know what you decide.

Maybe remove the stock grille, paint the bumper under it, then put a billet Stull grille on top of that?

ultimately he should do whatever makes him happy. i've seen your idea on a 30th anniversary camaro and i thought the front looked way too busy. personally, i like to break up the front end a bit. if his goal is to clean up the front end, i think a wings west grill painted black with black halos would be cool. it's just a suggestion, sebastianlopezjr can choose from all our ideas and pic whatever suits him best.

I have a silver z28 too. The Winds West looks good, but I am not sure about the mesh stuff.. Would you leave it the same color or paint the mesh black or something?

I like the stripe idea that Chad posted.

I'd go with the SLP grille. It's a nice clean design, and it's black. Having everything body color isn't a good idea. Forget about continuing the stripes through the grille. You need to have them broken up in spots.

To each their own, and I hope the owner takes all of our responses and chooses the one that suits his style the best. Maybe you could even post in the Multimedia Exchange's Photoshop Request thread, if you see an idea you like they may be able to help you visualize it better before shelling out any cash. I think my car looks 100% better with a body-colored grille opening.
