yes carnuba paste waxes can layer. Most liquids can layer as well, since they have no cleaning ability its not a problem.

thnx, I thought so. Had a guy tryin' to tell me I was wasting my time waxing my car once a week with Mother's Carnuba cuz every time I wax I was taking the previous coat off. (He actually seemed angry ) I told him it's not a cleaner wax, and the only time I take it off is when I clay and polish then start the wax all over again I think he was just hating, or just didn't understand what it takes to take care of your paint. Anyway, thanks again.

You should be able to layer to a certain point. Is there any particular reason you reapply every week?

Well I may miss a week here or there but I like to do it at least 2-3 times a month before I clay and polish and start over. I just like the way it looks when it's freshly waxed after a good wash. Besides nothin' wrong with a little extra protection on the clearcoat+paint especially livin' in the polluted big city. Air pollution is real bad around here during the summer months. Don't drive the Hawk in winter, she's allergic to salt.

Sounds like you need a sealant and a QD.

LOL For ONCE I agree with ZaneO.

I would start researching products to provide some longer lasting results. NXT looks great but not a good topper although I found out that it is not intended as such, maybe someone will chime in with something good to put on top of it to make it durable.

I personally like Zaino for durability, NXT can get the "bling" factor as good as Zaino but the Zaino process lasts quite awhile (months here in the NW) and Z-6 is very easy to apply for a quick "shine" detail.

Have also heard good results from tropicana, adams products, and Sonus. But All I use is Zaino and Meguires products. (I LOVE meguires paint cleaner)

I can't imagine using Carnuba wax anymore, but that is just me. Shoot Liquid glass is like 7 bucks a bottle and puts a decent shine on.....

Aren't you the guy that said my SOM WS6 shine looked weak? Also I remember a suspension thread and others I've read that I don't necessary agree with you on....thats not true, you have ALWAYS been right but the topic has not always been right or wrong. Hope that makes sense! Anyways I meant nothing bad by the statement, just waiting for you to come on an bash me for being a Zaino lover again

Although I should be nice to you I just got a dual porter buffer and I'm going to need help I am going into uncharted territory with this and Zaino can't save me My Black Z28 needs some work on minor scratches and swirl marks.

Well, I don't really recall telling you that you had a weak shine

Your attitude is duly noted though

I currently have Zaino on my car, but I realize that my car looks great because of the process, not entirely the product. I really don't care what people use as long as the realize the product is not solving their problems or curing cancer.

EDIT: I just found the post from 8 months ago (let go of your internet hurt feelings). I never said you had a "weak shine." I said that your car could have better depth of color if you were to keep it properly polished.
