thats a 6 page post, and theres alot of pics of it. he said he had to make new interior panels out of carbon fiber and recover them in cloth or something. but damn it looks awesome. said it was around 1000 bucks and 100 hours of labor....but he made the new roof out of carbon fiber...reusing the original should save alot of time/money

Your car is still a T-top car underneath the top. You just have a connecting brace on the ends (hope that makes sense) A T-top conversion is actually pretty easy and only requires a little fabrication. I almost did it on my 93, if I would have kept it I probably would have.

The Targa has a bit more "bling" factor but I would think someone with Whistlers fabrication and bodywork experience would be needed to pull it off. I don't know if its an average do it your selfer project. Of course the competence level of DIY's varies greatly But I wouldn't try it!

whistler answered one of my posts on camaroz28.com, and said i cant reuse the roof cause itll blow off at speed, which is why he used cf. soooo, i need to find some cf, or reenforce the roof with steel to make it work. or just stick with hardtop, which i might do, cause everyone has ttops..i feel special
