Question Clear corner fixes

Hi I'm new here but have been on F-bodyhideout for a while. I have a 2000 Camaro Z28 with clear corners. Today I noticed that one of my turn signal bulbs was out so when I went to fix it I noticed water inside the plastic. I have read through as many posts as I could find about this and found two solutions.
1. Seal the entire peice with clear silicone
2. Drill holes to allow the water to escape.

However I did not find any posts saying if these had worked or not, and since it can keep causing bulbs to go out, I would like to get it fixed. Somebody please let me know what you tried and how it worked out for you. I am too poor to be buying bulbs every week. Thanks in advance guys.

I actually did both. Used some Super 77 clear silcone around the seems, then put a couple of very tiny holes in the lowest points. I've never had any water or condensation problems and my car is no garage queen, it's sit outside all the time.

This may be a dumb question, but whats the point of sealing it if you are just going to put holes in it?

I had the same problem too, the clear corners would fill up whenever I washer my car. I first drilled two small holes in each of the clear corners, but I still found some water in them after I washed my car, So I then took the clear corners off again and went around the seams with some clear silicone. Have not had any problems since. Hope this helps you.

I wasn't sure if the silcone was going to work well enough over time to keep the water out in a hard rain or when washing the car, so I figured I should also just drill the holes to save myself from having to take them out again.

All I did was seal them up with some clear RTV. I haven't had any leaks.

It Works!

i did both as well, and glad i did....cuz apperantlly i didn't do as good of a job sealing the passenger side lense cause that one has gotten some water in there but thanks to the holes i drilled, i have had no problems with the bulb blowing out on me as of yet and the water does eventually get out
