Default what's involved in a halo install???

i've done a search on this and couldn't find anything that made me want to run out and buy these.

i like the way they look but if they are a pain in the *** to splice into the stock harnesses i don't want to bother. (i've heard that the cheap ones just have pigtails on the back that all need to be spliced in.)

where can i find a set that are direct plug-ins on the hi-beams and lo-beams (as in no cutting and splicing)??? i know obviously i'll have to tap something for power to the halos and that's not a big deal i just want as few wires to deal with as possible.

as for the halos, i would probably splice them into the fog lamps so i could flip on just the fogs and halos.

lastly, who makes the best quality lights??? i've seen em on ebay for around 140 a set? are these any good or should i look for more expensive ones from a different company??? (must be black by the way, no chrome)

any input is appreciated.

My install was easy..

Remove old headlights.
Install halos.

4 wire taps to tap into the wires at the foglights.

The end.

So when exactly do these come on if you splice into the fog lights? Im trying to get an idea of when the halo's are actually on, and what these look like at all times. At night when the fog lights are on can you see the halo's?

They come on whenever you have the fog lights on and yes with them both on you can see them very well!

You can see how it works in the in the pic...

You could easily wire them to their own switch, but I was lazy. I may eventually do it.

I paid $125 or $130.

I bought mine off ebay. I havent had any problems with leaking. I did have to take my factory brackets off my factory headlights & put them on my halos. I dont know about everyone else but mine really didnt flow with the lines of the hood & fender to well until I put my factory brackets on them. I cant remember the sellers name but Ill search. I paid I think $197 shipped to my house. BTW- I have the black ones & pic is in sig.

My girl bought me the black Halos for Xmas, I haven't installed them yet, but dying to do so. She was telling me too I should put clear silcone around the outside to prevent leaking. So thats what will do cause my clear corners got screwed thanks to not doing that,.. oh well....

you should be able to turn your fog lamps on any time the parking lights are on, even without the headlights.

if you really want them to come on all the time, you can either wire them to a 12V ignition switch source (so you can't leave them on) or wire them to the DRLs (my preference).
