Custom Interior, anyone? :D Moved the faceplate of my headunit to my sunvisor, the resto f the headunit is in the glove box:
To make room for:

a 10.5" touch screen computer with 300+ mp3s, GPS navigation, DVD playing capabilities, voice recognition, and will interface with my cell phone.

This is just the first version.. the "get it working and make sure it works" version, then in 6 months or so I'll go through and do it all again more professionally. What do y'all think? Please, no flames if I wanted flames I would've only posted to cz28.com and not here.

Haha yeah, I've had quite a few complaints from regular passengers about how they can't change it now, that makes it all worth it haha. Did everything myself, first time ever fiberglassing or doing anything this custom. Kinda made me feel like Pimp My Ride or something, except the stuff I'm doing is actually functional and practical haha.

congrats on doing the work yourself....must take a lot of guys to do that much.
Only suggestion I have is to have the computer thing sit flush and not angled toward the driver the way you have it setup now....at least it looks angled

the thing with the angle, though, is it's an LCD screen.. if it's not facing me it *might* not look right, I'm not too sure how it'd look in the car without it facing me just right. This is just the "does it work?" stage, though... if it works well being in the car and I don't run into any major problems, 6 months down the road or something (I got really sick of sanding that thing, it's smooth as can be but in the pics it still comes out lookin bad) I'll redo it. As for the interior colors, it's just how I like it. I love the red and black the way it is because it reminds me of an old style hot rod interior... don't know why but it rubs me the right way, and hey I'm the one that has to drive it all the time so it works. Major problem is that where my elbow rests the paint is cracking so I might actually do some fun project with that down the road.. but we'll see.

Lookin real good. I understand the viewing angle problems of the LCD, so I recommend having it very slightly tilted towards you (15 degrees or so), which should take care of most of that but doesn't make the car look too much like a cockpit and another seat. Also, I'd make it recessed a little bit so it blends in and doesn't catch as much glare.
