Chrome is not tacky. What looks bad is the polished handle that turns black and nasty from your hand after a week. I know, I had it first.

A word of warning though the white **** just dosen't screw on to the shifter. You have to get a sleeve out of one of Hurst's universal kits that fit it. Then drill the **** out and epoxy it in. It's kinda of a pain but it looks 10 times better than the cheap black ball that comes with it.
I didn't have that problem. I have a stock shifter, but I purchased a brand new white ball from a seller here and I screwed it on to a certain point then tightened it up the rest of the way with the nut that goes on the bottom of the ****, so it will point the right direction.

Input on what? I don't think Billet Specialties is in business anymore, for what it's worth.

B&M makes a shift **** adapter for the A4 Trans cars. I have the B&M adapter with a Hurst T-Handle in my V6 'Bird, and will do the same for my WS6...for whoever it was that was asking/curious. Swat

P.S. For the A4 cars, I recommend shortening the stick down too...looks 100% better.
