I just leave my antenna down 90% of the time.

I like to listen to my music when i drive. I was thinking of maybe having the antenna inside the car. i.e Corvette. Than take out the stock antenna and somehow fill up the hole that's left.

The only way to fill the hole correctly would be to weld in metal. That is a lot of work to do.

My '94 has the non-power antenna. You could put in the fixed antenna, and then unscrew the rod. Buy a shorter version from radio shack that has the same thread diameter of the fixed rod. I plan to do that to my '02.

How much difference with your reception on the shorter ones? My factory antenna is pretty crappy around town (compared to my colorado, tahoe, and even my 86 scottsdale got better reception)

this i'd like to know as well, I don't listen to the radio much, but I will cut that POS off in a heartbeat if it still works just fine, and retracts/extends fine as well.

This is what I have on my Z in black. It is a very nice piece and I think that it looks very good.

Because Camaros came with fixed mast antennas as opposed to the power antennas on the T/As...so, in our case, we can just thread on another antenna...

i would trade my stock Camaro antenna and base for a TA power one if anyone wants. I have over 3000+ posts on www.cz28.com and a good rep. so you don't have to worry about trading with me.
