oooohhh. i thought you were removing sound deadening. my mistake. as a guy looking to take weight out of my car, i automatically assumed your sound deadening project was removal, not installation.

Its cool, I am one of few on these boards that is willing to add weight to sacrifice for better driveability.

Im with you, although i am still going to do some weight reduction with lighter weight parts, especially in suspension and under hood such as tubular K-member, EGR and AIR delete.

I bet that weighs more than your interior does But I bet it's quiet. I bet the bass hits harder/cleaner too. Looks good...

Na, the two rolls combined only weighed 30 lbs. Which is no more than what the back seats weigh.

Now for the good stuff.

My initial driving impressions are Wow! Exhaust drone decreased significantly, remember I have true duals dumped at the axle. With a big cam that equals lots of exhaust drone. Road noise has also been decreased, it has put all the outside noises outside the car, where they belong. Now I am not saying that I have a Cadillac for an interior now, but it is certainly a lot better than it was before.

Where I noticed the most improvement was the stereo. I had to re-adjust everything. Mid-bass has really improved and the stereo gets louder faster. I had to turn up the highs because of the bass response being so good it was drowning out the mids and highs.

Overall I am very satisfied and I feel was well worth the money, time, and effort.

Again this did not turn the Camaro into a luxury car but it is definitely better and a lot more driveable, which is exactly what I was aiming for.

Very cool, all that matters is that you are happy with the finished product.

Yeah the sap makes me pretty ill too. I would never put my name and a womans name on a car especially considering that I'll probably just have to curb check her and get another in a couple months anyway.

It's like doing the tattoo thing. When you're young, chances are that relationship won't last and then your stuck with the name of someone you don't like anymore tattooed across your body.

Yeah because that is what this thread is about.

I have been married to that woman for almost 6 years now. I think that she is going to stick around.
