i know they actually sell a carbon fiber one, i was talking about the guy that started the thread not your friend. as stated in the last few replies, he was just going for the CF look on the panel, possibly using some sort of vinyl....

Someone did that awhile back but they sent the stock panel in to get covered in synthetic carbon fiber.

Here's his pics I can't remember his name though.

I'm thinking about getting a real CF one for the hugger SS. Real carbon fiber will look better than flat black anyday. Gives it a more custom touch, that you can only notice up close. I want mine to be smooth though, so I can put an "SS" emblem on the rear center.

Dipping sloutions charge .45 cents a square inch but they can not do that pannel because it is to wide. (pannel is ruffly 5 x 65 inches) She said there tank is only like 25 inches wide so they would have to do it in two parts and would have a line in the middle. Would cost ruffly $150 to have it done.

Instead of covering your current one, it would be great to have one that is made completely out of carbon fiber. Like Tony said, "carbon fiber will look better than flat black anyday"!

They are a import car part company but make many other parts! Very nice stuff.

And Carbon fiber is not RICE as the fastest cars in drag racing are all carbon fiber bodys. Would you call BBC 6second camaro "rice"? I on the other hand any car that has alot of show of race stuff and no go is rice if you ask me!

I just got off the phone with these guys...they wont allow me to come by and look at the product....which sucks!

But they will do a GP They have 8 pieces in stock .... the description the guy gave was that you could see the CF weave...Im thinking Im gonn try to have mine covered first...which was considerably cheaper to do

Yep, got the same response. It's amazing how the company has a decent website, yet very little customer response. After several e-mails concerning carbon fibre doors, I have yet to hear or see any response. So basically I could order from them and pay through PayPal, and if it doesn't arrive or I receive defective merchandise then the response will still remain the same?

Not that I am deliberately "badmouthing" them, but why should I rely on them when I have VFN to supply my hood at a drastically lower price with a better customer satisfaction policy. Now, if only VFN can make a carbon fibre OEM doors like the C-Wings version being sold at that website.
