Only had buddies who had MAACO jobs. MAACO bondoed over the rust, and sprayed the paint on top of that. So shortly after geting the truck back, the paint started to come off in chunks. Who knows, maybe your local one is better.

they painted a buddys car brown, when it was soposed to be black it looked black at angles but when the sun hit it the color was brown.. they told him it was the coating that they used and he would have to pay to get it repainted again.. never go there!!!

Maaco can be very good or very bad. Their cheap paint jobs are single stage paint with an integrated clearcoat, so it's pretty fragile. However, a single stage can still look good. The thing they don't do is prep well. The standard paint job you buy for $400 or whatever comes with minimal prep... they pretty much just scuff the car to accept paint. If you prep it yourself and bring it to them, I think you'd be happy for the price.

I would not let them paint a set of FRCs or a battery cover, let alone an entire car.

They use an extremely cheap paint... You get what you pay for.

why waste your money. i wont go into their procedures but just dont ever go there unless your car is worth under $1000 bucks. it would be more cost effective to do the prep yourself and find a PROFESSIONAL painter to spray your car.

The main problem with macco is that Macco is a franchise operation. Its really just individual businesses carrying the Macco name.

Ive heard 1 Day Paint N Body is not too bad, they arent franchise owned and their paint jobs come with a 1-5 year warranty (i think thier top of the line comes with a lifetime).
