It will take some customization. You will have to do something to clear for your throttle cables. I also don't see cutouts for the fuel supply/return lines.

Yes, would definately take some customization to get it in there, but it *could* work, maybe?

it would take alot of work to make it fit. It could be done but I doubt I would want to try to cut a cover that costs so much.

Well its worth a shot I guess, wouldnt be the first or the last $500.00 I have wasted, I am hoping it will just be some work with a dremel. But soon to see, I like Holden as well but I think it would be harder to mod then the one I am looking at?

Thumbs down

I'd never put one of those on because of all the heat that will be trapped under that cover. The beauty of the composite intake manifold's lack of large heat soak would be reduced by putting a turtle shell on top. If I lived in Australia and bought a new Holden, the first 'mod' would be the removal of the cover.

The Holden was difficult to mod. Their power steering is located differnetly, as well as EGR, or their lack of one, not sure which. I was laid of at the time, and in order to make it fit and cut off as little as possible, I had to do a tremendous amount of cut and put it in and cut and put it in. Because I was laid off, I had lots of time, and spent about 2 days cutting that thing to fit.

I have had no heat issues, although I have not monitored the air temp, only the coolant temp.

But, even with the cover on, and my FTRA in place, I have never had an overheating issue.

I am thinking of painting the Holden cover this year, but not sure what color. I like the stock color, but the clearcoat I put on it is yellowing.

That first one is badass! personally i wouldn't spend $500 to mask up such a fantastic engine (but if you had to the first attachment is what i'd go with

Well My body guy got it UPS Today and said it should be able to work fine with out any noticeable cuts, but it is going to take him some time to do it. I am not worried about the heat because this is not an item that will always be on the car, just for shows. I have some regular FRC's on there way that will be an everyday dress up. My end goal is to have everything CF under the hood. I think it will look nice and clean when its all said and done, maybe not be we will soon find out!...lol
And I agree, the ls1 looks better than the Mercedes, my father has one (Sold a mint Super B to get, thats another story) He is 65 and still loves raw power, good to see it does not go away with age

Have you thought about maybe getting just an intake cover and some nice fuel rail covers that match? This is my friend's car.

It looks so much better in person than the camera can capture.

I'm sure. I just can't decide between the Carbon Fiber or the Aluminum looking Kevlar. But for like $289 that's not bad, considering it was gonna be almost $800 to get the intake wrapped in real Carbon Fiber.
