This is the appearance forum. It's for show. The whole interior of the car will be base/coat clear coated black, and be just as smooth as the exterior body....

I am interested to see finished product, I have been thinking of doing something simular, Probably more along the lines of gelcoating and adding some sparkle.

Also I am curious, with adding the glass, won't that make it somewhat bigger and how do you plan to fit it back, I am sure with the glassing/painting, you are looking @ 1/16th inch larger around. Keep us posted.

just curious........you're not planning on installing tv's all over the place are you? if you are, it's your choice of course. i guess i'm just preparing myself for it now. LOL j/k. i'm curious to see how it comes out too. and that extra thickness could be a problem if you haven't planned for it yet.

Neat project. Kudos on venturing the limited/unknown. Keep us upto date. I see you've eliminated the defrost vent hole . . . looks clean.

02 Transhawk Ryan is just using the the fiberglass resin to develop a nice smooth starting point most of the resin is sanded back off with very little resin left. The added finish will be very minumal (sp) in thickness. The gaps where everything fits will have plenty of room to go back together.

You're gonna regret that ****. With the angle of the windshield on our cars, when the sun hits the dash it will reflect on your windshield and glare like a ****. Mine does it bad with just Armorall. I quit using it on the dash and just wipe it down now. You will probably have to tint your front window now. Just do 35%. It actually makes driving very pleasant during the day and night. The sun stays out of your eyes during the day and the reflection from the headlights are near 0% at night.

What DJ is doing is considerably different. He is actually extensively modifying his dash, not just resining it and painting it.
