Default VFN Sunoco Hood Painted!

Here are a few of the pictures of the VFN Sunoco hood on the car with paint. I had Paul's Auto Body in Bloomington IL 309-821-1263 pain the hood, blend in the fenders and do a few odds and ends. He sais this is the BEST glass hood he has ever seen. There are a few old muscle cars there getting restored now. He knows his stuff.

The quality of the hood is outstanding. The paint came out very well.

Here is a link to more pics.

I like it, but do you have any closer pics? Those make it look like it's almost photoshopped?

looks sweet, i think your black stripe should have been the entire width of the cowl instead of stopping short though, it seems awkward being too narrow. but congrats on the new hood

Steve the hood looks great but I agree that the stripe from the side looks too narrow and just doesn't flow well. Oddly the stripe looks good from the front 3/4 view. Thanks for posting pics of the hood for us to see.

Very nice! The stripes make the hood look more like a regular cowl hood though, they seem to be hiding how smooth/rounded those sides are in real life. Maybe find a pic of a regular cowl hood and put them side by side to really show the difference.

I agree. If it were me, I'd leave the stripes off. Other than that, I think the hood looks great on your car.

I was thinking the exact same thing as Nine Ball, kind of defeats the purpose of getting a rounded cowl IMO.

Looks good. Same sentiments as NineBall tho. Maybe if it was painted more like a Blackbird stripe, It wouldnt have the same effect.

I think the black stripes may be tricking your (and my) eyes to make the scoop look more narrow than it really is.

Looks great, I need to see one on a black Camaro. That hood may replace my SS hood!

I almost put one of those hoods on the 98 Z I had, but went w/SS style.
That looks good though! The hood stripes look good too.. although when I first saw the pics I though they were shadows

Keep up the good work!

awesome hood, i love the roundness of it. only if it came in a 4" version then i think it'd be perfect. just my preference seeing as that looks like a 2" raised area. could be the pics
