how about using dawn in the wash, then a cleaner wax should do the trick.

I put on a thick layer of Z2 and rubbed it in pretty good. I let it sit over night then wiped it off with a microfiber towel. Was a bitch to get off but it did take it all off. I then Z6ed it then Z1, let it dry and another light coat of Z2. Let it sit over night again, then Z6 one more time. Looks great...
I just ordered some Z2 pro and Z8, can't wait to try that stuff, I heard it's unbelievable... I love Zaino products, best stuff I've ever used. I ordered ZFX too, Sal recommended it so I'd thought I'd give it a try...

dawn is perfectly fine to use on cars to get old wax off...as for toothpaste...no...that is like wet sanding your car...i wouldn't use toothpaste on anything...
