Smoothed, Painted FAST 90mm Intake, Nasty Billet Rails - Mock Up Pics (56K Warning)
#21
I'm told that they flow more fuel and will support up to around 1400 hp...I only make 1400 hp in my dreams, so I bought them for the look...I love the look of the polished rails and braided stainless lines. FWIW, I bought my kit from Nasty without the gauge...I wasn't crazy about the look of the gauge they included, so I picked up one on my own (Autometer 2180, silver face)...I also added the 90 degree elbow fitting...

And just like that, another bling master is born in the Pittsburgh area!
Excellent job Chris - hope we get to meet at a show over the summer. I am definitely planning on attending the Wings Over Pittsburgh show - should see ya there since it's your stompin' grounds!

Thanks everyone for the compliments!...sorry it took so long to respond, I've been out of town all week in sunny Orlando, Florida!
Nineball, it took me forever to finish all the sanding and smoothing, but most of the time was spent on filling/shaping/smoothing the indentations for the factory fuel rail crossover...I had the billet rails and thought it would be cleaner if those "dents" were filled. The actual sanding wasn't bad and the letters come off very easily...I used the dremel to grind the majority of the letters off and then I followed with some 80 grit, 180, 220...My bodyman did some additional sanding and he touched up the areas that I filled in...
Jay, I can't wait to meet up with the Pittsburgh Bling Master!!

Although the pics don't really show it off well, it's painted with BMW Sapphire Black Metallic...enjoy.
Nice set of fuel rails. I got the F.A.S.T rails, and since found out there isn't much in the way of connectors that come with it. Found a place that can suply hose, connectors and pressure guage, but you know that connector that connects to the original fuel line, what is that connector called? I need to order this connector but dont know how to explain it over the phone. Hope someone can help.....
Many Thanks

I have a thread started with some good info on how to connect to that, I'll see if I can dig it up...I was connecting speed inc rails, but it's the same fitting on the car of course...and for the record, I have not bought the piece yet.

What you need is an adapter(s) that goes from compression fitting to -AN...you need a tubing compression fitting that is sized to the stock steel supply line...then you may need an additional adapter from the compression fitting to -AN for the braided supply line...the fitting in my Nasty kit was two pieces...I hope this helps...
