Thanks in advance guys
But I would remove it from the car to do this, just safer that way, & very easy to remove. Just pull back the carpet in the hatch area around the inside of the taillights, remove the wingnuts from the taillights, rest them on towels on yer rear bumper, & remove center section. (It's held in place by the studs from the taillights.)
Wetsand with 1200, then 2000 grit wet-sandpaper, then polish with some type of plastic polish. I use Zaino's plastic polish & have done a few dozen of these things over the last couple of years. Never failed me yet. I've tried other polishes but just not satisfied with the results.
I usually sell these things reworked thru the forums & eBay, but don't have any available right now. I actually have two sitting here finished ready to go, but they're both claimed, waiting for funds.
Send it to me, I'll polish & send it back for a small fee if ya want!
Samples here, ...

Good Luck!
A ton of people have done this mod, with lots of photos here in the 'Appearance' album.

If anyone's interested, yes you can send it to me & I'll wet-sand & polish back to a beautiful lustre. If necessary I can usually do it in the evening when I get back home if I'm on the road, & get it back out the door the next morning.
Ya know, It wouldn't look that bad to take the unit off the car, put the taillights back on, & run the car without it for a few days during shhipment. Ship it to me, USPS Priority Mail usually takes two days, one day to polish, & send it back USPS Priority Mail. Total down time 5 days maybe. Not that bad. Of course there would be a small charge to do this, ..., But I think it would be reasonable!
