Add headers. Remove AIR and EGR. Simple Green. Aesthetically appealing lid.

It's pretty hard to just recommend headers. Kooks/QTP are the best, so I'll go with them.

Some people will recomend the Wire mod ( hiding the wires ) but I wouldn't do that. I hear hooker/pacesetter headers aren't bad either. Check JRP's stickie

I think the clear lid is really awesome! I got a deal on an SLP lid so I just decorated it

Polish up the accumulator and any other thing you can polish in that bay (ABS module, metal lines, etc)

Coating it in degreaser and then rinsing wont do any harm will it? Its got a little bit of build up I'd like to get rid of.

As stated above, polish everything you can, invest in wire loom and eletrical tape, headers (get the jet hot coating), lid, etc...

Absolutely not.

The goal is to hide all wiring, not cover it with wire loom and tape.

Example:

Steve's old '00 SS:

Here's the engine bay from his '69:

i think just a lid, smooth bellow, remove your a.i.r, egr, a/c, and just clean it up a little
and that really is a good way to start!

heres mine...

i wouldn't recommend removing the a/c...

you can also use armor all for your lid, top of the radiator, intake, and radiator hoses. a little can of condensed air helps a lot too.

bradied lines like on steves old SS really clean it up alot. thats my next project. if you are not getting Fuel rail covers, i suggest you look into the Thunder racing coil pack relocation kit. its 200, but also inculdes new taylor spark plug wires. really cleans it up alot and makes it a bit easier to reach the back of the engine
