second time with porter cable!!! i gave my porter cable one more try to see if it gets rid of all the swirls. well it didnt. i actually did it oustide in the sun to make sure they were gone, but most were still there. i used the yellow pad with the menzera intense polish and the results were not good. i dont think its the machines fault or anything. maybe i just need a harsher prodduct to use with the machine. the color of the car is red so maybe i do need a harsher product. please post with some alternatives that i can use with the porter cable.
Try the Sonus products. They are supposed to be excellent.

I got rid of "most" of my swirls by doing this:
Wash with Dawn
Clay Bar using spray wax
Wash again
PC using Menzerna Polish & yellow pad
Repeat
Hit bad area a 3rd time
Wash again using Meguiars Car Wash
PC using Meguiars Medallion Polish & Wax & black pads(same reults as NXT)
My car is red, and it looked almost like new. There were a couple scratches in the pass fender from the cam install work that did not come out. Other than that.....
Wash with Dawn
Clay Bar using spray wax
Wash again
PC using Menzerna Polish & yellow pad
Repeat
Hit bad area a 3rd time
Wash again using Meguiars Car Wash
PC using Meguiars Medallion Polish & Wax & black pads(same reults as NXT)

ive used the menzerna in the sun and it works pretty well but you have to use it sparingly. If you got micromarring or hazing its probably from the yellow pad. Just go down a notch on the pad and the next polish and you should be good.

It has already been said but take it in stages. You did not post what brand pad you are using.
Lake County w/ I.P. Orange then white. F.P. White then black.
You mentioned a yellow pad you may be using Meguiar's pads which I really like. Meguiars I believe has three pads Red very aggressive, Yellow good all around pad kinda between the Lake County Orange & White pad than they have a buff which is a finishing pad although it is not as smooth as the Lake County black pad.
Don't give up.
