Question Firehawk Ram Air Hood

just a real quick question.. im assuming it does, but I would rather be an idiot and ask this then buy it and realize it doesnt... The firehawk ram Air Hood will fit onto a 1999 Trans Am, correct? Thanks again and sorry about the stupid question

Firehawk hood requires minor cutting of the front fascia/bumper panel.
Use the search up there for the threads that show the specific differences.

If I were you, I'd either go for the WS9 style hood, or the Raptor hood, ..., Both of them would bolt on without modification.

the WS9 and raptor are made my US EXOTICS but that guy has sold his molds to vfn tech and they wont be available for a while

The SLP HO hood is another good alternative rather than getting the hawk hood. Also, I may be wrong, but you used to have to have a firehawk vin # to get the hawk hood.

Yeap, the airbox seals with the hood.

SLP no longer sales the FireHawk hood you have to contact your GM dealer or go to http://www.gm-restorationparts.com

if u have to have a vin # do u think i could tell them the vin # off a firehawk that is for sale at a used car dealership and get away with it?

Maybe, what's the worst that can happen. If my hood ever broke I'd go for it too. But maybe someone hear can spot you their hawk vin#

The raptor hood does require a little shaving to get a good fit. I put one on my WS6 this past winter and it does align with the airbox.

I dont think you need a Vin, I was checking out the parts at GM restoration... All they want is money :p
