Default Engine compartment paint

Question gang:

I have a black SS and the paint in the engine compartment does not look the same as the body color - appears to be more of a metallic black. Is it just because it's a thinner coat or is it different paint and if so what paint is it?

Its probably b/c there isnt a clear coat on the paint in the engine bay. Makes it look a little different and more dull.

Mine doesn't look metallic, just dull like said above. Eastwood sells an underhood black that is supposed to be a correct amount of gloss(10-20%)
for underhood compartment.
