Carbon Fiber hood for Firebird/Trans Am? I know this has been talked about before < I did search > but I can't really find any new info on a carbon fiber hood for firebirds/trans am. I lost the front end of my car this past week in an accident so I'm gonna need to replace shattered WS6 hood. I've always wanted to get one in carbon fiber. I know VFN did make the regular ram air hood and the 4" hood in cosmetic and race weight carbon fiber blend and I'd love to get one of theres since I hear about there great quality but it seems that there not doing this right now. Does anyone know of anyone else that makes or would make them? Any help would be appreciated.

VFN can make any of their hoods in CF but they are double whatever the glass price is. For an example the flat stock pin on hood in glass is 11 lbs and for double the money you can get the same hood in CF that weighs 8 lbs.

nope they have the Ram air hood for the TAs too. I've seen them. They are new so they may not be up on the website but I know they have them. If you go over to LS2 the person that works for RK has pics of some and he says if you pm him he can hook you up with one.
