Actually I believe they are just stock GM HVAC ***** with the outer coverings removed. There are some posts around here about it.

My friend had some of those that were aftermarket from ebay and the fitment sucked big time. MBA has some nice billet pieces that look pretty good?

That's correct, if you just remove the rubber coverings you will be set.

Stock ones when you remove the black cover will look like that -- on some cars. 94 Camaros don't have it, it's a solid white. I think the clear AC ***** were 97+, but I'm not positive. If someone wants to try it and has a 97+ Camaro, try removing some of the black cover that's on the ***** and let us know if it's clear or not.

Not to sound like a dumbass, but do you just pull it off? I'd hate to try something new, and end up breaking it.

Never tried it myself, I think people normally cut it off. I was going to purchase a set of AC ***** off ebay but the seller didn't want to sell them to me after I said "What's the inside of the ***** look like? Do they look like they're clear or solid white?" lol

Yeah that's my car. As was said, I just pulled off the rubber. However, the plastic is pretty thin and brittle and eventually one day when I turned the **** it broke because it didn't have that rubber to cushion it. I've since replaced that **** and the rubber and will probably get billet ***** later.

Pre-97 is white underneath. Not sure about 97. Mine of course is a 98.
