Default cleaning the engine bay

well sunday i was driving and the hose on the bottom of my power steering resevoir came undone and the fluid shot out all over the engine bay. anyways i want to clean out the entire bay and wanted to know how to go about doin this. i dont really have any tools like a pressure washer or anything so i wanted to see how everyone goes about cleaning the bay. i guess i could rent tools and such but i dont know what to get. also is it ok to pressure wash the engine? i have no idea where to start.

Get some degreaser from a parts house, and spray it down real good, and let it soak for a while. Then rinse it off. That will get rid of a lot of it. My friend had the same problem.

make sure you are careful around the intake. Water can get under the intake and rust out your knock sensors. It happened to me

I thought the samething. I guess it doesn't get all of the water. Mine was rusted out. Now I don't have to worry since I sealed them up with some silicone
